I’m starting a list of places where you can buy Hoosier-made products! We have some old companies that have produced quality stuff for a long time and some new businesses that are pretty cool. So support your fellow American’s and buy from the Heartland.

Clay City Pottery – In business since 1885. Read all about their history here>> One of my all-time faves. I have several of their pieces and love them. They have a festival in June every year where you can see how it’s all made, buy their stuff a great prices, and have a splendid time.

Dewig Meats – These guys make THE best bratwurst in the United States. Trust me. They have lots of other quality meat products but order the brats, boil them in beer and water, then grill them and cover them with saurkraut. Sublime.

Tell City Chair Company – In business since 1865. They make beautiful furniture, not just chairs. I’m saving up for the sled coffee table. While I was at IU, I discovered there is a tradition there of ordering a rocking chair for retirees. They are also purchased for other significant events.
