In 2008, I decided to take a year off and write a book. Today, I have 30 chapters written and a second book started. I’ll submit the first book to a publisher very soon. In addition, I’ve built a couple of sites for friends, done some consulting work and writing, and started a family business with my husband and daughter.

My most recent work:

Information Architecture

All of these were done while I was at Indiana University, 2002-2008.

Kelley School of Business (W3 Gold Award)
This project took two years and included over 1,000 pages and the integration of four databases, three for which I developed the architecture. My team and I did stakeholder interviews, focus groups, and lots of usability testing. I developed the information architecture and served as client liaison.

10 Ways IU is RED HOT (Webby Award)
A small (just under 100 pages) marketing piece to promote all the great work at IU. Besides the information architecture and usability testing, I got to build pages – my first experience in Flash. My team and I went to New York City to receive the Webby. The Honoree that year was David Bowie!

IU Life Sciences (W3 Gold Award)
An informational and marketing site we developed specifically for legislators and influencers. Under 100 pages, I conducted stakeholder interviews, focus groups with target audiences, and built the information architecture.
